Over the past decade, the Goldsmiths’ Company has supported over 80 emerging fine jewellers and silversmiths, many who have built high profile careers and are sought after by international collectors and institutions.
The work of the many jewellers and silversmiths who have benefited from the Company’s Graduate Bursary to exhibit at Goldsmiths’ Fair, is on show in this fascinating exhibition. Each of the participants will show an early piece from their very first Goldsmiths’ Fair alongside one of their most recent pieces, demonstrating how their designs and skills have developed over the interim time.
The pieces I will be showing are ‘The Water Pitcher’ from 2003 and ‘It’s all about the Edge’ 2012.
Curated by renowned expert Mary La Trobe-Bateman OBE, Growing Talent showcases Britain’s top young talent and how their work has evolved since their first showing with the Company.
Delight in how these bright lights have taken inspiration from the most unlikely places and used it to develop their signature styles.
